You article opens a new perspective on tea. That is why I liked it.

When participating in a trade show it is often times hard to enjoy the educational sessions around us. I'm glad to catch up on some of the events.

"All in all, tea does pretty well against other beverages in terms of its carbon footprint, coming in at only % of the carbon footprint of bottled beer."

Thank you for your blog!

It is indeed a very fine oolong; quite magical, really. I usually go by "feel" when steeping teas, but reading your article I realize that I've subconsciously picked up a lot throughout the years that adds to the "feel" for brewing. I've still much to learn though; I guess I'd better keep drinking fine teas.

I'd like to add that a lot of Yi Xing pottery is for men too. I have several mugs. One of them does have plum blossoms on it and those are flowers. But I have a few that are made just like old beer steins from the days before tea replaced it as a morning drink in Britain. I don't know how much more masculine you can get than that.

I think it is the geek factor with the various teawares and concerns about water temperature and steep times.

That's because I'm another author of a tea book. I'm now writing my first tea book, called "Spirituality of Tea." It will be available in a few months.

There are plenty of women for whom tea takes a back seat to aspirations of neo-Victorian social forms. We're looking at nothing less than the rumblings of a tea gender clash.
